The Internet is increasingly being used to carry real-time voice traffic. We will describe the results of over 18,000 active voice over IP quality measurements. The deployment of such an initiative over ten globally distributed academic sites is a considerable undertaking and was proceeded by a similar initiative four years previously. Therefore in this talk we will give a summary of our measurement techniques plus loss, delay and jitter results for both undertakings. We also discuss current work in progress in wireless measurement efforts and measurements on the PlanetLab infrastructure.
