The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is a scientific tool located at CERN in Geneva and will produce quantities of data in the realm of many PB/year. These data will need to be processed using the combined resources of large data centres located around the globe. It is anticipated that much of these data will be sent in buffered real-time from CERN to these data centres at a rate of many Gb/sec. This raises a number of interesting questions and challenges that will be the subject of this presentation.

This presentation is part of session "Research Infrastructure" which starts at Thursday, June 10 @ 09:00
