SEEREN (South-Eastern Europe Research and Education Network) is the network built during 2003 and operating across 2004, that interconnects the National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) of Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, FYR of Macedonia and Serbia-Montenegro with the pan-European Research and Education Network (GÉANT). Connectivity with GÉANT is provided by the Greek (GRNET) and the Romanian (RoEduNet) NRENs.

The aim of SEEREN is to ease the digital divide between SE Europe and the rest of continent by creating the necessary networking infrastructure for the academic and education communities.

This international network utilizes the Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology and the Carrier-supporting-Carrier (CsC) scheme, over the provider’s (OTEGlobe) Multi-Services Platfrom (MSP).

This presentation is part of session "SE Europe/SEEREN" which starts at Wednesday, June 9 @ 16:00
