The paper presents a framework for Virtual Laboratory (VLab). It focuses on the application structure, which can make it possible to use very expensive devices remotely. It is important that this structure is universal and can be used with every device and every simulation. Therefore the framework is a critical issue in that concept. To prove the concept, we plan to put the Virtual Laboratory of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR) into practice , which is based on this general structure. Another significant issue is to handle remote facilities like other Grid resources. This assumption generates new requirements concerning e.g. resource scheduling and global accounting.

This presentation is part of session "Advanced Network Collaboration" which starts at Tuesday, June 8 @ 14:00
