Dr. Nikos Vogiatzis holds a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Dr.-Ing. degree in Communication Electronics and Information Systems, both from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece. He also holds a Master's Certification in Program/Project Management from the Stevens Institute of Technology, NJ, USA. From 1996 till 1998 he worked in the Telecommunications Lab of NTUA, in Athens, Greece. From 1998 till 2003 he worked for the Bell Laboratories Advanced Technologies EMEA department of Lucent Technologies, in Hilversum, The Netherlands. Since 11/2003, he is with GRNET in Athens as a European and Regional Networking Applications Manager. Dr. Vogiatzis has held engineering and project management positions in several EU-funded research efforts (PLANET, InfoGate, NOTE, BC3, PRO3, ADAMAS) as well as Industrial projects (InfoStar, National PKI, Transportation Telematics Control Center). He is a member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) professional society, PMI (Project Management Institute), TEE (Technical Chamber of Greece). He was also an invited member and contributor to the Fixed Wireless Access issue group of European Communication and Technology Industries Association (EICTA) Radio and Spectrum Policy Committee (RSPC). He has more than 15 publications in international journals and conferences.
