Christopher Edwards graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 1995 with a degree in Computer Studies. Following this, he joined the Computing Department of Lancaster University as a Research Student. He completed his Ph.D. studies in the year 2000, in the area of open programmable networking, specifically looking at support for QoS-based transport interfaces, end-to-end requirements negotiation, and using distributed object technology for network control. He is now a lecturer within the Computing Department at Lancaster University, where he teaches in the field of telecommunications, networking and operating systems. Christopher has participated in a number of ACTS projects, including PeterPan (Provision of Enhanced Transport by Exploiting Reservation in IP and ATM networks), where his involvement specifically looked at the integration of RSVP-enabled IP networks and ATM technology, in the context of both IPv4 and IPv6.
